Pressure-less cooking with a Pressure Cooker!

The emphasis of this class is to educate students on how to prepare the food in a pressure cooker by reducing LOTS of time, energy and retaining nutrients.  We will explore the wonderful world of vegetarian Indian cuisine; it's aromatic and healing spices.  

Healthy homemade nutritious meals made without the pressure! With the aid of a pressure cooker, students will learn how to make the following recipes:

  • Potatoes & Eggplant cooked in a delicate tomato gravy with spices (Alloo Baigan Masala)
  • Orange/red split lentil soup (Masoor DAL) with a hint of turmeric, cumin, black pepper, and lemon
  • Curried opo squash with tomatoes, onions, and garlic (Ghiya)
  • Basmati rice with green peas and flavored with cumin (Mutter Pullao)
